The Book of Blessings: Impacting Lives with the Language of God by R. Scott Osborne

R. Scott Osborne’s new book contains more than 500 Scripture blessings, sorted into categories for specific life situations. The book helps people wishing to offer the right words at the right time.

Columbus, OH — Baby boomers and their offspring are on a mission to live their lives with purpose and meaning. At the core of this outlook is the desire to selflessly touch the lives of others; a “pay it forward” mentality. One way to fulfill this goal is through the speaking of blessings. R. Scott Osborne’s new book, “The Book of Blessings: Impacting Lives with the Language of God” (ISBN 978-1-60266-744-0) is the how-to-why-to book on spoken blessings.

According to the author, “We have both the privilege and the responsibility to bring the blessing of God to the people he puts in our path.” The Book of Blessings contains more than 500 Scripture blessings, sorted into categories for specific life situations. This is for anyone wanting to enrich the lives of others by speaking the right word at the right time but may struggle to find the appropriate sentiment.

“The book underscores that God is the source of all blessing, yet He has entrusted us with the awesome ability to bring His blessing upon others as we choose,” says Osborne. This inspirational breakthrough hits with the impact of a divine revelation, yet it is merely highlighting a fundamental teaching and practice found in Scripture.

Readers will become emboldened with new approaches to blessing the people they love. As people are exposed to the powerful concept of blessing, they will find themselves wondering why they haven’t been speaking blessings throughout their entire life.
