The Book of Blessings

God is the Author of all blessings. As we study His Word, many examples become evident. Once upon a time, blessings were spoken in the home on a daily basis. But somehow, this practice has waned throughout the 2,000 year history of the Church. The responsibility now belongs almost exclusively to the clergy.

The Book of Blessings reintroduces this observance to impact others with the language of God. As we study and restore the priestly duty of blessing by all believers, we will discover the profound influence it can have on our families, our congregations, and our society.

What People are Saying

"The Book of Blessings, compiled by my spiritual son, Scott Osborne, is a book to include in your spiritual arsenal — a book to use to bless others and to receive blessing. This book stands unique among the volumes that have been written about blessings because it amasses literally hundreds of Scriptures with which to bless." - Dr. Samuel Farina, Senior Pastor, Christian Assembly, Columbus, Ohio (Pastor Sam went to be with the Lord in December of 2007)

Rooted in God's Words

excerpt from “Rooted in God’s Word” by Jeanne Kun - © God's Word Today, Volume 13, Number 5, May 1991, published by The University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN.

One of the most effective ways we can be rooted in Christ is to immerse ourselves in his word. When you read and study Scripture, remember that it is a lifeline with the Lord. You are striking your roots deeper and deeper into good life-giving soil and drinking from the living waters: "Happy the man who... delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on his law day and night. He is like a tree planted near running water, that yields its fruit in due season, whose leaves never fade" (Psalm 1:1, 2-3).

May you be like the morning light at dawn, like a morning without clouds. May you be like sunshine after a rain that makes the grass sprout from the ground. (2 Sam 23:4, NCV)
